Wade Amos has over 28 years of engineering experience including work at startup companies, multi-national corporations, government research facilities and four universities. Much of his experience is related to renewable energy, biofuels and environmental processes. He has also worked in biopharmaceutical production.
Having worked at several of the safest manufacturing facilities in the world, he has a strong understanding of Process Safety Management, Process Hazard Analysis, HazOp, PSSR, life-safety procedures, automated safety systems and OSHA regulations. His experience incudes working on projects in 10 different countries.
His operations experience includes power production, pulp & paper, activated carbon, carbon black, biodiesel, liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquified petroleum gas (LPG) and biopharmaceuticals. The startups he supported were doing superheated stream drying, wood-to-ethanol, algae-to-biodiesel, SO2/NOx/CO2 scrubbing and rapid vaccine development. His pharmaceutical experience includes large- and small-scale bioreactors, harvest, purification, media prep and cleaning validation.
Wade holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine and an M.Eng. in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Colorado.
